GOVERNMENT ARMORIAL BEARING OF ARMENIA AND MOUNTH ARARAT
Because of the Armenia’s stable policy directed towards Turkey, a good neighbour relationship can’t be set between the two countries.

Armenia, who accepted the so-called genocide to be known in international field as the prior foreign policy, doesn’t give up the insistent and illogical attitude about land demand from Turkey. The goal; to be able to establish the Big Armenia. So-called Big Armenia; includes a big geographic area that covers Southeast and East Anatolian Regions of Turkey, and a part of Azerbaijan and Georgian.

Deposition of “West Armenia” for East Anatolian Region of Turkey which takes part in the 11th entry of Armenia Independence Proclamation again appears in front of us as a manifestation of Armenia’s imperialist policy.

According to these, Armenia’s heart beats in Mount Ararat. Mount Ararat, for Armenia, holds “a natural identity of monument for the lost lands”, more than being the symbol of beginning of Armenian History which is based on Noah’s Ark.

Armenians calls Mount Ararat “Ararat”. Ararat; is responded by some regions because it is thought to be a name that is either Armenian or owned by Armenians. However, the scientists clarify that this name doesn’t have any connection with Armenian, it was used before the Armenians came to that region; and the name “Ararat” is a name mentioned in the source of Urartu and was used for Mount Ararat and its surroundings.

In Armenia it is possible to see figures of Mount Ararat on Government Armorial Bearing, on money, in the names of hotels, on the bearings of press agencies and even on the wines. However it is not possible to understand the use on Governmental Armorial Bearing. Because to place a mount which is in another country’s land on the flag is a symbolic expression of claiming right on the land of this country and is an unacceptable situation.

Consequently, this chauvinistic spirit of Armenians forms an obstruction to understand appeared difficulties and even dangers. We guess that this is why they applaud when excessive nationalist Russian Leader Vladimir JIRINOVSKI declared “15 years later Armenia’s flag will wave on the Mount Ararat”.

Now it is time for our Armenian friends to leave behind the events that an age old and wounded both sides, and to satisfy with their own land. It will only harm Armenia to produce and practice policy in aggressive, nationalist frame in a world in which borders are loosing their importance.
